Pont de Clichy, Prestressed concrete road bridge in Asnières-sur-Seine and Clichy, France.
The Pont de Clichy is a concrete bridge crossing the Seine River between Asnières-sur-Seine and Clichy. It has three main sections and carries cars, bicycles, and pedestrians in separate lanes across the water.
An earlier iron arch bridge was destroyed during the Franco-Prussian War in 1870. The current structure was built in the 1970s after removing two islands that had complicated crossing the river.
Multiple generations of bridges at this location have connected communities on both sides of the Seine, fostering local development and transportation networks.
The crossing is easy on foot or by bicycle and offers clear separation between different types of users. The best views of the river and surrounding areas are from the pedestrian walkways.
Engineers from Campenon-Bernard constructed the current structure between 1973 and 1975, following the removal of the Robinson and Ravageurs islands.
