Summum, Concert hall in Alpexpo complex, Grenoble, France

Summum is a modern concert hall within the Alpexpo complex in Grenoble, featuring spacious indoor areas and up-to-date event technology. The venue accommodates several thousand attendees and is designed to meet the technical and spatial demands of major performances.

Le Summum opened on 3 February 1988 with a concert by Indochine, on the site of the former Grenoble-Mermoz airport. It was launched as a modular hall seating 2,987 or holding 5,000 with the floor open. Its 600 m² stage has since hosted Mylène Farmer (12 May 1989), Nirvana (14 February 1994), Daft Punk (14 June 1997) and Radiohead (20 October 1997).

The venue hosts a wide range of musical performances that draw artists and audiences from across the region. People come here to experience different genres, from established acts to emerging talent, in a contemporary setting.

Visitors will find parking nearby and can expect accessible entry points designed to handle large crowds. It is worth arriving with time to spare, particularly when larger events are taking place.

The hall stands on the site of the former Grenoble-Mermoz airport, and its 600 m² stage is the working area behind the shows. On 26 February 2018, TéléGrenoble held an evening here for the French medallists returning from the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
