Tramway de Pithiviers à Toury

The Tramway de Pithiviers à Toury is a narrow-gauge railway with 600-millimeter track that once stretched 31 kilometers across farmland. The museum association now operates around 3.5 kilometers of the original line, allowing visitors to ride through the flat Beauce countryside.

The line was established in 1892 by the Société Decauville to move sugar beet between production areas and refineries. Steam locomotives handled both freight and passenger traffic for many decades along this route.
