Manoir de la Taille

Manoir de la Taille is a fortified manor with a central gatehouse flanked by square pavilions, while round towers frame both ends of its main facade. The structure combines defensive elements with living spaces distributed across multiple wings and levels.

The property was granted to Jean de la Taille by King Philip IV in 1308, though it suffered severe destruction through much of the 14th century. Around 1450, a new building rose on the same foundations, remaining in family hands until 1617.

The chapel inside displays religious artwork and decorations that reflect the faithful family who lived here across generations. Visitors can walk through the rooms and discover the personal traces left by those who called it home.
