UGC Ciné Cité La Défense is a multiplex cinema in Puteaux with 16 screens and 3,627 seats, designed by Alberto Cattani in the former automobile museum and IMAX premises of the Les Quatre Temps shopping center. Screens range from 43 to 135 m² and auditoriums from 163 to 394 seats; screen 16, under the old IMAX dome, is the largest.
The cinema opened in 2006, replacing a former movie theater and occupying space that previously held an automobile museum and IMAX facility. This opening created a fully modernized cinema facility in the business district.
The cinema shows French and international films, ranging from major releases to independent productions. Visitors can discover current blockbusters and art house films side by side in its spaces.
The cinema sits in the Les Quatre Temps shopping center in Puteaux. From the transport station, exit C "Quatre Temps" leads inside the mall all the way to the cinema; exit B "Dôme" reaches it from outside via the staircase near the Grande Arche. Screen 16, in the former IMAX dome, has 10 wheelchair spaces.
At its opening in 2006, a red carpet stretching roughly one kilometer was laid for the premiere of Mission Impossible 3, with Tom Cruise and Michelle Monaghan in attendance. This event marked the cinema as a noteworthy venue in the region's cinema landscape.
