Tour Franklin, Office skyscraper in La Défense, France
Tour Franklin is a 33-floor office tower rising 116 meters (380 ft) in the La Défense business district of Puteaux, just west of Paris. The building has a geometric facade and contains office space used by several international companies.
Tour Franklin was completed in 1972, during the period when La Défense was being actively developed as a planned business district for the Paris region. It was among the first towers to shape the skyline that the district is known for today.
The name Tour Franklin is shared with several other towers in the La Défense district, which can cause confusion when navigating the area for the first time. Workers and visitors often use nearby landmarks or their company name to give directions rather than the tower name itself.
The tower is easy to reach from the La Défense metro and RER station, which is a short walk away. Access to the office floors is limited to business visitors, so a prior arrangement with a tenant is usually needed before arriving.
The tower houses companies from very different sectors under one roof, including pharmaceuticals, insurance, and technology services, making it a cross-section of the global economy. Tenants such as Chugai Pharma, Allianz, and Tata Consultancy Services share the same address in Puteaux.
