Our Lady church

Our Lady Church is a place of worship built in Romanesque Revival style in La Baule-Escoublac with high vaulted ceilings and generous spatial proportions. The interior impresses with its length and height, which give the space grandeur.

Construction of this church began in March 1931 with a foundation blessing from a local bishop. The project arose from the desire to create a central place of worship for the growing community.

The church houses an organ built by craftsmen from Nantes that shapes the musical life of the town. Visitors can experience here the artistic craftsmanship that fills the space with sound.

This church is easy to reach from the town center of La Baule-Escoublac and welcomes visitors most days. It is wise to arrive early when it is less crowded, allowing better time to admire the architecture.

During construction, a local priest worked alongside other craftsmen, hauling building sand in wheelbarrows. This direct participation by the clergy shows the community's strong connection to the project.
