St. Cosmas' Church, Medieval church in Saint-Côme-d'Olt, France.
Saint Cosmas and Damian Church features flamboyant Gothic architecture with a three-bay nave flanked by side aisles and a portal decorated with detailed sculptures.
Rebuilt in the 16th century under architect Antoine Salvanh's direction, the church replaced a former castle chapel from the 12th century used by the lords of Calmont-d'Olt.
The oak door panels of the portal display carved medallions representing religious and symbolic figures, demonstrating the artistic craftsmanship of the period.
The building, registered as a historical monument since 1927, welcomes visitors in the historic center of Saint-Côme-d'Olt in the Aveyron department.
The 42-meter twisted bell tower, struck by lightning multiple times and rebuilt, displays a characteristic spiral in its vertical structure.
