The church presents a square-based bell tower that transforms into an octagonal structure topped with battlements at its highest point.
Construction of this Dominican religious building commenced in the thirteenth century, leading to its classification as a Historic Monument in 1862.
The interior of the church features a shrine of Saint Bartholomew created by Genoese sculptor Anton Maria Maragliano, weighing over 800 kilograms.
The church holds regular polyphonic singing concerts on Thursday evenings, with additional performances scheduled during September and October months.
This religious structure stands as the sole example of Gothic architectural design found throughout the island of Corsica.
