Église Saint-Dominique de Bonifacio

Église Saint-Dominique de Bonifacio is a Gothic church built on the clifftop in Bonifacio's old town. Its bell tower has a square base that becomes octagonal near the top, finished with crenellated stone details that frame the skyline.

Construction started in the 13th century when Dominican friars established this religious house in the town. The building was formally protected as a historical monument in 1862, marking its importance to local heritage.

The shrine of Saint Bartholomew inside was carved by a Genoese master sculptor and draws visitors who admire the craftsmanship of this religious artwork. Local families have gathered here for centuries during important religious celebrations and personal moments of prayer.
