Église Saint-Maximin de Thionville, Gothic Catholic church in Thionville, France
Saint-Maximin Church features two low towers connected by a balustrade terrace, with baroque decorations and multiple side altars inside the building.
The current structure, built between 1755 and 1759 by architect Le Brun, replaced a 12th-century church destroyed by fire in 1493.
The church holds a collection of paintings from the 17th to 19th centuries and sculptures of Saint Maximin, Saint Peter, and Saint Paul.
The church maintains an organ with 4,500 pipes across three keyboards, regularly used for religious services and musical performances.
Six bells cast by Farnier foundry in 1921 ring from the tower, with the largest bell Maximinus weighing 5,740 kilograms.
