Église Saint-Nicaise de Reims, Protected church building in Reims, France.
Saint-Nicaise Church features a Greek cross layout and incorporates elements of Roman architecture with pronounced Art Deco decorative patterns throughout its structure.
The church, completed in 1924 under architect Jacques Marcel Auburtin's direction, replaced an ancient abbey church that was demolished during the French Revolution.
Artists including René Lalique for stained glass and Jean Berque for the Stations of the Cross contributed to the church's extensive artistic decoration.
Visitors can access the church at 2 place du 11 Novembre in Reims, where individual tours are available upon request.
The wooden furniture inside the church, designed by Auburtin himself, represents the architectural style of the 1920s with modern and rustic characteristics.
