Sant Martí de la Roca

The church stands at an elevation of 512 meters with two naves and features decorative arcatures along its chevet stone walls.

First documented in 1259 as Ecclesia Santi Maritini de Rupe, the building expanded in the 14th century with the addition of a southern nave.

The structure transformed into a hermitage in 1644 under Abbot Honoré Cuiro, housing religious residents until the French Revolution in 1790.

Visitors can reach the church through a marked path starting from the Camélas cemetery parking area, following a 4-kilometer trail.

The church location offers views extending from the Mediterranean Sea to the Canigou massif and across the Roussillon plain.
