Église du Sacré-Coeur de Rodez, Catholic church in Rodez, France.

Église du Sacré-Coeur is a church built in Romanesque Revival style, marked by an octagonal tower-lantern above the transept crossing and two square towers with stone spires on the facade. The exterior walls are built from small limestone masonry, with a west portal featuring a rounded archivolt beneath a triangular pediment that houses a Sacred Heart statue.

Construction started in 1886 under architect Henri Pons and was completed in 1898 to serve the expanding suburbs of Rodez. The building received monument historique status in 2005, which secured its preservation and public access during heritage occasions.

The interior displays mosaics and sculptures that reflect late 19th century religious artistic expression. These decorations shaped how worshippers experienced their faith visually in that era.

The building is open during regular heritage days when visitors can explore it. Plan your visit around these special opening occasions to fully experience this protected site.

The west portal displays a rounded archway topped by a triangular gable housing a Sacred Heart statue, a composition rarely seen in this particular arrangement. This representation was a deliberate design choice reflecting the late 19th century aesthetic.
