Château de la Cour d'Angleterre, Historical château in Bischheim, France

The château features German Baroque and Classical French architectural elements, with notable terraces, decorative fences, and five ground floor paneled rooms.

Built in 1751 by Jean de Dietrich as a summer residence, the château suffered damage during World War II and underwent restoration in 1947.

The gardens contain two sphinx statues at the entrance, with historical vases distributed across various regional châteaux including Kolbsheim and Léonardsau.

Since 1949, the building operates under the Department of Health and Social Affairs, serving as accommodations for young residents.

Robert Koenigsmann introduced tobacco cultivation to Alsace and planted the first potatoes in the château gardens around 1620.
