The oil mill complex features three different types of presses: a nut press with millstones, an oil press made entirely of wood, and a wine press.
Built in 1764, this intercommunal mill operated continuously until 1939, producing various oils including walnut, hazelnut, rapeseed, and pearl barley oils.
The mill represents industrial heritage through its preserved mechanical systems, traditional manufacturing methods, and historical production techniques from the 18th century.
Located at 1 rue de l'Angle in La Wantzenau, the mill received official historical monument status in 2001 and opens during Heritage Days events.
The mill maintains its original animal-powered nut press with millstones and a monumental wooden oil press dating from the 18th century.
