Thermes de Salins-les-Bains, Thermal bath complex in Salins-les-Bains, France

The Thermes de Salins-les-Bains is a thermal bath establishment founded in 1854 in Salins-les-Bains, in the Jura department. The current building, inaugurated in February 2017 a few hundred metres from the historic premises, has a long, low facade of smooth light-grey panels above a recessed dark glazed ground floor, with three planters of reddish-brown plants in front and the word "ThermaS" on the right end.

The site has deep roots in salt harvesting that began in ancient times and continued for many centuries through the Middle Ages and beyond. The modern thermal facility emerged from this long tradition of using salt water in the local economy.

The thermal center draws regular visitors from the region who value the restorative experience of bathing in the mineral-enriched waters. It reflects how locals integrate spa treatments into their wellness routines today.

The facility features locker rooms with electronic storage and is equipped for visitors with reduced mobility. Free parking is available directly in front of the building for visitor convenience.

The relaxation pool is kept at 29 °C and holds about 30 g of salt per litre, close to seawater salinity. The source water itself is 18 °C with pH 6.15 and 137,800 mg/l chlorides. The historic Puits à Muyre fed the baths until 1994, when the Puits des Cordeliers took over.
