Puig Pinyer, Mountain summit near La Jonquera, Spain
Puig Pinyer is a granite summit in the eastern Pyrenees near La Jonquera, rising to 951 meters. The peak offers views across surrounding valleys that extend toward the Mediterranean Sea.
The peak stands along ancient trade routes that connected Spanish and French territories through the eastern Pyrenees from medieval times onward. These routes carried important commerce between the two regions.
