Plaincourault Chapel

Plaincourault Chapel is a stone structure with Romanesque architecture from the Middle Ages located on the château grounds. The interior features frescoes depicting Christian scenes painted directly onto the walls, offering insight into medieval religious art.

The building was constructed in the 12th century under the Knights Hospitaller. After severe damage during the French Revolution, it remained abandoned until restoration work began in the late 20th century.
