The Casino of Cabourg is a gaming and cultural venue in the coastal town featuring an ornate facade and interior spaces styled in Italian taste. The building combines a grand entrance hall, a central rotunda room, and multiple gaming and performance areas under one architectural design.
The building was founded in 1854 and received its present form in 1909 as an expression of Belle Époque architecture. This transformation made it a landmark of the elegant seaside era.
The establishment blends gaming with theater performances hosted throughout the year in its Italian-style hall. Visitors experience a mix of entertainment and architectural elegance from another era.
The site includes various gaming areas with machines and table games plus a dining area. The wider surroundings are easy to walk through, and the seafront promenade offers opportunities to explore the building from the outside.
A 400-meter promenade runs along the seafront and connects the gaming house with the neighboring waterfront walk, named after writer Marcel Proust. From this terrace you see both the historic Belle Époque villas and the house gardens.
