Château de Beauvais, Historical castle in Limoges, France

The Château de Beauvais stands on a rectangular plan with a central axis connecting the grand salon to the dining room.

Built between 1765 and 1768 by architect Joseph Brousseau, this castle replaced a 15th-century structure, preserving only its chimney and moat sections.

The castle served as the residence for the abbots of Saint-Martial Abbey until the French Revolution, representing the religious authority of Limoges.

Located at coordinates 45.85734N and 1.19029E, the castle features protected façades and roofs under French historical monument status since 1990.

The northern and southern façades present different projections, with the south having a more pronounced entrance framing the grand salon.
