Saut de l'Ognon

The Saut de l'Ognon waterfall cascades down 14 meters through a triangular rock formation, creating a powerful display of flowing water in the Franche-Comté region.

The waterfall structure was built as a flood prevention measure for the village of Servance, demonstrating early water management techniques in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.

The site features a thematic trail with six educational stations that inform visitors about the river's ecosystem and its significance to local communities.

Visitors can reach the waterfall viewing point within a five-minute walk from the free parking area located at the entrance of Servance village.

The water flow varies dramatically between seasons, reaching up to 50 cubic meters per second in winter and decreasing to 10 cubic meters per second in summer.
