Rabastens - château de Saint-Géry, Medieval castle in Rabastens, France.

The Saint-Géry Castle comprises three residential wings arranged in a square around a courtyard, with the fourth side opening onto a forecourt framed by annexes.

Built in the 13th century, the castle was confiscated by order of Philip VI of Valois in 1349 and given to Antoine de Baulat for reconstruction.

Cardinal Richelieu stayed at the castle in 1629, and the room where he slept remains preserved with period furnishings from the 17th century.

The castle opens to visitors from May to September, with guided tours available in English and French at an admission fee of 8 euros.

The castle grounds extend over 250 acres and include a park with three-hundred-year-old trees overlooking the Tarn River.
