Église Notre-Dame-du-Bourg

Église Notre-Dame-du-Bourg is a Romanesque church featuring a rectangular nave supported by stone twin columns and pointed arches. The structure displays characteristic features of Romanesque architecture with carefully proportioned interior elements.

Benedictine monks from Moissac Abbey established this church in the 12th century at a crossroads of major trade routes. Its location at this strategic point shaped its role as an important religious center.

The interior walls display 14th-century frescoes showing scenes from the Virgin Mary's life. These paintings were hidden beneath layers of lime coating and rediscovered during restoration work.
