Maison de Diane de Poitiers, Renaissance house in Étampes, France
The residence features a facade with a large arched portal, topped by a rectangular pediment supported by columns with Corinthian capitals.
Built in 1554, the structure became a museum in 1883 and later housed a library during the twentieth century.
The portal's bas-relief depicts the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, a work likely attributed to sculptor Jean Goujon.
Located at 4 rue Sainte-Croix, the house received historical monument status in 1926, with its Renaissance portal protected since 1939.
The windows of the building display intricate sculptures, cartouches, and decorative patterns that create a distinctive visual impact.
