Immeuble, 13 rue du Port, Historical monument in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

The building at 13 rue du Port is a residence with a classical facade constructed of cut stone, with its entrance portal made from local Volvic stone. A lower wing adjoins the courtyard with a distinctive door carved into a concave curve.

The building was constructed during the second half of the 18th century and contains a staircase with four core pillars and square balusters dating from the 17th century. These older staircase components were apparently preserved when the facade was built.

The window supports and staircase railings display finely crafted ironwork decorated with rocaille patterns typical of French design from this period. This ornamentation appears throughout the interior spaces and reflects the taste of the property's affluent residents.

The building is visible from the street and can be observed from outside to appreciate the facade and portal details. The interior spaces are typically not accessible to visitors.

The staircase components from the 17th century integrated into an 18th-century house reveal how older structures were reused during construction. This practice was a practical solution for builders to conserve resources and time.
