Château de la Vieuville

Chateau de la Vieuville is a castle in Le Chatellier with a balanced design where a central rectangular section is flanked by round and square towers. The structure overlooks a pond and connects to a landscaped park.

Architect Jacques Mellet designed this castle in 1869 for Saturnin Le Mercier des Alleux in neo-Gothic style. The building rose near an older manor house and reflects the architectural trends of that period.

The castle still contains elements from the 1800s that show how French homes looked during the Second Empire period. Walking through the rooms, you can see the craftsmanship and design choices people valued at that time.

The property offers 300 square meters (3,200 square feet) of reception space for events and can accommodate up to 30 guests. It sits roughly 40 minutes from Mont Saint-Michel, making it convenient to combine with other regional attractions.
