Dating from the 15th century, this house witnessed the transformation of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie from a fortified settlement into a center of leather and textile production.

The structure represents typical medieval domestic architecture of the Lot region, incorporating elements from both noble and merchant building traditions.

Now functioning as Auberge du Sombral, the establishment offers eight guest rooms and serves regional cuisine from April through November.

The building's central position near the medieval market square provides direct access to the network of narrow streets that characterize this clifftop village.
