Built between 1383 and 1406 under the direction of Lord Hervé IV du Pont and Péronnelle de Rochefort for a Carmelite community.
The stone and wooden altarpieces represent donations from local guilds, including shoemakers and apothecaries during the 17th century.
The church contains a grand organ restored in 1990 that preserves original pipes from 1666 and regularly hosts religious services.
The slate helmet-shaped bell tower, constructed in 1603, represents an unusual architectural feature in the Lower Brittany region.
