The Hôtel Saint-François stands at the intersection of Saint-François and Mirail streets, featuring ornate facades with baroque elements and balconies supported by detailed statues.
Built between 1854 and 1868 by Antoine Théodore Audubert, this building replaced the former residence of the Counts of Estrades, perpetual mayors during Louis XIV's reign.
The monumental staircase displays narrative bas-reliefs depicting the history of famous monuments, while the gallery now hosts contemporary art exhibitions.
Located at 44 Rue Saint-François, visitors can reach the mansion via tram lines B at Musée d'Aquitaine station or A, C, D at Porte de Bourgogne station.
The building introduced revolutionary features for its time, including running water, gas on each floor, and a rooftop laundry facility for tenants.
