Hôtel Westminster, hôtel au Touquet-Paris-Plage (Pas-de-Calais)
The Hôtel Westminster is a seaside luxury hotel in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage built in 1924 with Art Deco architecture spanning approximately 130 meters in length. Today it offers 104 non-smoking rooms and suites, two restaurants, a bar with an outdoor terrace, a spa with heated pool, sauna and jacuzzi, meeting rooms and a ballroom.
The hotel opened in 1924 and was expanded in 1926 by architect Raoul Jourde, adding an east wing and increasing rooms to 250. Damaged by bombing during World War II, it reopened in 1946 and underwent major restoration in the 1980s before being acquired by the Barrière group in 2016.
The hotel's name reflects the British influence that shaped Le Touquet as a fashionable destination. Its Art Deco design and layout continue to define how guests experience the building and the leisure culture of early 20th century seaside travel.
The hotel provides on-site parking and concierge services to arrange activities like bike rentals and external tours, with staff available 24 hours. The location is easily accessible from town, with shops and cafes nearby for exploring on foot.
The hotel received its fifth star in 2021, making it the only five-star hotel on the Côte d'Opale coast. Throughout the 20th century it hosted royalty, actors and musicians including the Prince of Wales and Edith Piaf.
