The Link, Skyscraper in La Défense, France
The Link is a skyscraper in the La Défense business district with 54 floors, rising 242 meters into the air. The building will offer roughly 126,000 square meters of office space when finished.
The project came about after Groupama's announcements and followed the demolition of buildings on the site. Construction started in 2020 as part of a larger modernization of the district.
The building shows how modern office architecture reflects the way people work together today. The open spaces and design allow new forms of collaboration among workers.
The completed building will mainly house office workers and is reachable via the existing transport connections of La Défense. Visitors should keep in mind this will be a private business building and access may be limited.
Architect Philippe Chiambaretta designed the building with a special focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. The facade uses innovative materials that help the building partly power itself.
