Tour Alto, Office skyscraper in La Défense, France
Tour Alto is a 160 m office skyscraper in Courbevoie, La Défense, with 38 floors above ground and 3 underground levels. Its rounded glass facade bows outward, each floor set 12 cm beyond the one below, so floor plates grow from 700 m² at the base to 1,500 m² at the top. Two terraces occupy floors 36 and 37.
Tour Alto was financed by SCI White Tower and built by Bouygues Construction with Linkcity, from designs by IF Architectes and SRA Architectes. Work began in September 2016 after the 1993 Saisons building was demolished, and the tower was completed in the first half of 2020.
Tour Alto's name refers to its height, and the tower was built for the SCI White Tower investment vehicle, developed by Linkcity and constructed by Bouygues Bâtiment Île-de-France. Its two terraces on floors 36 and 37 give almost 340 m² of outdoor space, a feature office workers in La Défense can use.
Tour Alto stands on the Courbevoie side of La Défense, with its main entrance on the eastern façade facing the district's central slab. The tower is an office building with no public observation deck; the two outdoor terraces on floors 36 and 37 are reserved for occupants. Access is via the La Défense transport hub and the surrounding boulevard circulaire.
