The slopes have long been used by shepherds for sheep grazing, a practice passed down through many generations. This traditional farming shaped the landscape and continues in some areas today.

The hike to the summit starts from a parking area near the Comane canyon and takes about 50 minutes. Wear sturdy footwear and be ready for changing conditions as you approach the top.
The site is popular with paragliders thanks to launch areas that let you soar over the valley. However, the Chamarges landing zone closes during July and August, forcing pilots to use alternative areas.
