Château Saint-Jean, Medieval castle in Dorlisheim, France.

Château Saint-Jean is a two-storey castle in Dorlisheim with a distinctive mansard roof, set within a 6-hectare park surrounded by mature woodland. The building occupies a location layered with centuries of construction, with stone architecture visible throughout its structures and surrounding estate.

The castle was built in 1857 by the Wangen de Geroldseck family, replacing an earlier command post of the Knights Hospitaller dating to the 13th century. The religious order's former presence left its mark on how the estate developed and was eventually restructured.

The château maintains its role as the headquarters of Bugatti Automobiles, hosting exclusive car presentations and international client receptions.

You can view the exterior architecture and period gateway from the outside, as the interior operates as private offices and is not open to visitors. The surrounding park allows for walking around the grounds, with wooded areas providing shelter and a natural setting to explore.

The estate preserves two hunting lodges from 1766 and 1853, offering a glimpse into how the land was used across different centuries. Deer roam freely throughout the wooded sections, creating an unexpected wildlife presence within the park.
