This beach extends for 1.5 kilometers along the northern French coast, featuring fine golden sand and a paved promenade for walking.
Fort de l'Heurt was constructed near the beach in 1803 under Napoleon Bonaparte's orders as part of the preparations for invading England.
Local fishermen participate in Christmas night celebrations known as Le Guenel, where children walk with lanterns singing traditional songs.
The beach offers free parking lots, changing cabins, and supervised swimming areas during July and August, with access for reduced mobility visitors.
During low tide, the beach transforms into a land yacht racing area, while Fort de l'Heurt becomes temporarily accessible from the shore.
