Plage de la Gravière

Plage de la Gravière is a beach in Hossegor along the Atlantic coast where the sandy shore extends beside the Boulevard du Front de Mer and sits separated from surrounding areas by tall protective dunes. The natural coastal features create distinct sections along the shoreline.

This beach formed naturally along the coast and was preserved when Hossegor developed as a seaside resort in the early 1900s. The original coastal features have remained largely unchanged since that period.

Free parking near Avenue des Pervenches offers easy access to the beach through marked pathways that cross the protected dune system. Using these designated routes helps protect the sensitive coastal environment.

The northern section of this beach operates as a monitored naturist area alongside the main sections staffed by certified lifeguards during summer. Both areas function side by side, each serving different visitor preferences.
