Pic Gazonné

The Pic Gazonné rises to an elevation of 2,121 meters, featuring multiple paths that lead through grassy plateaus and rocky sections to its peak.

The mountain trails document decades of climbing history, with recorded ascents and route developments spanning more than 28 years of mountaineering activities.

Local mountain communities maintain traditional hiking paths around Pic Gazonné, connecting various refuges and observation points throughout the upper Valgaudemar valleys.

The ascent from Vallonpierre refuge follows the Sentier du Ministre path, requiring approximately 2.5 hours with a vertical gain of 300 meters.

The summit ridge provides views of three valleys while showcasing prominent peaks including Chalance, Rouies, Les Bans, and Sirac in the surrounding landscape.
