Chapelle Sainte-Barbe de Mincé, Ruined chapel in Baugé-en-Anjou, France.

Chapelle Sainte-Barbe de Mincé is a ruined chapel in Baugé-en-Anjou built with limestone walls and slate roofing. The structure features a bell tower and represents 18th-century construction crafted by skilled stonemasons and roofers.

An earlier structure on this site dated to the 15th century before being replaced by the present building. During the 18th century it functioned as a processional chapel under local patronage.

Local people walked in processions to this place seeking protection from storms and lightning under Saint Barbara's care. The chapel served as a spiritual center where residents gathered to honor this saint.

This site is accessible for viewing from outside, though the building is in a ruined state and visitors should proceed carefully. The location is situated in the countryside and can be reached on foot or by car from nearby towns.

The chapel once held a bronze bell cast by a master founder from Angers in 1738 that vanished during the French Revolution. This bell was later discovered in a different location, showing how precious objects moved during that turbulent period.
