Luosto

Luosto is a mountain in Sodankylä, northern Finland, standing 514 meters high and surrounded by dense pine forest. The site features marked hiking trails and winter sports facilities distributed across its slopes and surrounding terrain.

This mountain formed over 2 billion years ago as part of a range that once rivaled the height of the Alps before erosion gradually reduced its elevation. That ancient geological process shaped the landscape we see today in northern Lapland.
