Moomin Museum, Literary museum in Tampere, Finland
The Moomin Museum exhibits original illustrations, artworks, and a detailed five-story miniature Moomin House displaying scenes from Tove Jansson's stories.
The museum opened in 1987 at the Tampere city library, moved through several locations including the Art Museum, and found its current home at Tampere Hall in 2017.
The permanent collection contains over 2,000 illustrations and artworks that represent Finnish artistic expression through Tove Jansson's Moomin characters and narratives.
The museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, with admission prices of 14.50 euros for adults and 7 euros for children under 17 years old.
The blue miniature Moomin House, measuring 2.5 meters in height, toured Nordic countries from 1980 to 1983 before settling at the museum.
