Peace Station, Heritage wooden building in Itä-Pasila, Finland.

Peace Station is a wooden building in Itä-Pasila that originally served as a railway station and now functions as a multipurpose venue. It provides rental spaces including a large hall and sauna facilities available for various events and gatherings.

The building was originally constructed in Vammeljoki, Karelia, and relocated to Helsinki in 1923. A fire in 1986 caused significant damage, but the structure was carefully restored afterward.

Multiple civil organizations use the spaces to organize meetings and discussions about social causes and community engagement. The building functions as a meeting point where different groups gather to share ideas and coordinate their work.

The location is about 5 minutes from central Helsinki and accessible via public transport near the Messukeskus convention center. The site is easy to reach and well-connected to the surrounding area.

It is the only wooden building in the Itä-Pasila district, standing out distinctly among modern structures that surround it. This architectural oddity makes it a visual anchor in an otherwise contemporary urban landscape.
