Residential barracks in Pasila locomotive stables and housing

The residential barracks in the Pasila locomotive complex is a housing building that originally served railway operations in the early 1900s. The structure features long corridors and strategically arranged sanitary facilities designed with the health and comfort of residents in mind.

Architect Bruno Granholm designed this barracks in 1899 as part of the Pasila railway complex. It was built during Finland's period of railway expansion when housing for railway workers was essential to operations.
