The manor features a main building dating from 1797, with modifications from 1915 including a distinctive colonnade and plastered exterior walls.
The estate originated in 1556 when King Gustav Vasa established the grounds by merging nearby villages into a property of 30 hectares.
The lower floor serves municipal functions while the upper floor houses the Mayor of Espoo as an official residence since 1969.
The stone bridge adjacent to the manor continues to function as a crossing point and stands as the oldest bridge structure in Finland.
The property underwent transformation from 1987 to 2016 when its large barn operated as the Espoo Riding Stable.
