Malmin uimahalli

Malmin uimahalli is an indoor swimming center in Helsinki with multiple pools designed for different purposes. The facility features an eight-lane 25-meter main pool, a teaching pool, a children's pool, a therapy pool, and a cold water pool.

The facility underwent major renovations in 2014 that expanded its capacity to serve the growing population in Helsinki's northern areas. These upgrades significantly improved what the center could offer.

The center reflects Finnish bathing customs that include visiting separate saunas and steam rooms after swimming. This practice shapes how locals experience the facility throughout the week.

The facility has pool lifts for wheelchair accessibility and includes a fully equipped gym as well as a mirror hall for exercise classes. Regular classes run throughout the week to suit different schedules.

During summer months, the center opens an outdoor area with a shallow wading pool and grass spaces for swimming and sunbathing. This seasonal addition gives visitors a different experience beyond the indoor pools.
