Tribalj

Tribalj is a settlement nestled on the slopes of the Vinodol Valley in Croatia. An artificial lake spanning about 41 hectares with an average depth of 4 meters shapes the landscape of this area.

The lake was created to support the operations of the Vinodol hydroelectric power plant. This development marked a significant transformation of the landscape and the valley's economy.

Local residents maintain fishing traditions through the Sport Fishing Association, which manages the lake's activities and preserves traditional fishing methods.

Visitors need a permit from the local fishing association to access the lake. Swimming, boating, and unauthorized hunting are not allowed in this area.

The lake is home to various fish species including carp, grass carp, catfish, silver carp, perch, and eel. This variety of fish attracts anglers throughout the year.
