Klimno

Klimno is a coastal settlement on the southern shore of Krk Island, stretching along Soline Bay together with the settlements of Soline and Čižići. The three villages form a continuous coastal area with a protected harbor.

The settlement grew around the Church of Saint Clement, built in 1381, which gave the place its name. This religious foundation marked the start of organized settlement in the area.

The Church of Saint Clement shapes the village appearance and shows how the community has maintained religious life over centuries. The church's relief altarpiece stands as an important regional artwork, reflecting the artistic traditions of the area.

The protected location of Soline Bay keeps the water warm and suitable for swimming from early spring through late autumn. Visitors should take advantage of the shallow coastal access and calm waters for swimming and snorkeling.
