Ćipiko Palace

Ćipiko Palace is a Renaissance and Gothic building in Trogir featuring ornate facade details. The east side shows Gothic triple windows and decorated portals, while stonework combines different building periods and displays the wealth of its original residents.

The palace was built in the 15th century by the Cipiko family and shows elements from earlier times that were gradually expanded. The family played an important role in Trogir's maritime history, which is preserved in collections and remains from major conflicts of their era.

The Cipiko name comes from an influential family that ruled Trogir for centuries. You can see how the rooms were arranged for a wealthy merchant family's life, with details reflecting their power and taste.

The palace sits directly across from Trogir Cathedral and is easy to find. You should allow about half an hour to explore the architecture and rooms.

A wooden rooster sculpture stands in the courtyard, recalling the family's military victories. This unusual symbol shows how personal emblems and memories were anchored in the walls and spaces.
