Parag is a settlement in northern Croatia located on the flat alluvial plain near the Slovenian border along the Drava River. The village sits within the Međimurje County region, surrounded by agricultural land and river landscapes.
The settlement became administratively independent in 2005 when it separated from the neighboring village of Trnovec. This change reflected broader local governance developments in the region.
The population of 1,389 residents forms a distinct community within the Nedelišće municipality, with many inhabitants belonging to the Roma community.
The village is situated about 12 kilometers west of Čakovec and connects to major regional transport routes. Visitors can reach larger towns and the Slovenian border relatively easily from this location.
