Sas Hill, Protected summit in Budapest, Hungary.

The natural area rises to an elevation of 266 meters, providing views of Buda Castle and Gellért Hill across the urban landscape.

The hill received its current name in 1847, replacing the German designation Adlerberg through an initiative by Hungarian philologist Gábor Döbrentei.

The slopes of Sas Hill formed part of the Buda wine region during the 18th and 19th centuries until a phylloxera outbreak in 1890.

The nature reserve spans 30 acres within the Danube-Ipoly National Park and includes a visitor center with educational displays about local flora and fauna.

The hill contains concrete military bunkers from World War II, while supporting multiple protected plant and animal species in its natural environment.
