The structure opened in 1894 as the New York Life Insurance Company office and underwent complete renovation before reopening as a luxury hotel in 2006.
The New York Café on the ground floor functions as a central meeting point for Hungarian literature enthusiasts, carrying forward a tradition since its establishment.
